Bulking Sludge & Load Reduction
Poor settlement caused by filamentous bacteria is a common problem threatening discharge consent limits. Under designed plants and over capacity are also contributors to poor performance. Chemical coagulation is often the most practical problem solver.
Bifloc is far more effective than iron salts in activated sludge plants for the control of bulking sludge. Problems can be subject to seasonal changes, organic load and ammonia residuals. As well as curing settlement, problems, Bifloc is also able to control phosphate levels.
PLUSpac500, a low cationicity PAC product is also well proven for load reduction whereas PLUSpac1000 is particularly effective for suspended solids reduction.
